Popularly known as CONFED, the Federation was registered as a Cooperative Society in October 1966 under the Punjab Cooperative Societies Act, 1961.
Its main objective is to coordinate and facilitate the working of affiliated Cooperative Wholesale Consumer Stores and assist in their promotion, organisation and development.
Bulk procurement of consumer goods from within Haryana and other states for sale and supply to affiliated societies, with arrangements for proper storage, packing, grading and transport.
